I'm sure you've heard that Matt was denied. However, due to his Aunt Barbara (she gives the best advise by the way) we are in the process of appealing their decision. One of the questions on the appeal is "Has anything changed since you last applied"? Well, by God's grace, one thing did change. His new Neurologist (he is awesome) upped the dose of his seizure medication.
So, I can use that on the application!
So, once we get this sent off, I'm sure we'll have more battling to do. I just have a hard time understanding how people that really don't seem to have a problem can get it and then those like Matt who have REAL, proven disabilities can't. This whole thing has really floored me.

Good days are coming....
We've had some really tough times lately. I told some friends and our Minister that my new name is Jobette (instead of Job). One thing that hasn't changed is our love for each other. When Matt was in the hospital last November, I have to admit, that was the biggest turning point for me in regards to our relationship. Watching him tremor with seizures (we have recently learned that's what was going on) scared me and was a wake up call. At any time, God could take him home. After he was released our entire life had to change. He can no longer work, drive, or ride his bike great distances. Recently, I have started waking up around 2:45am EVERY morning terrified. I don't what's causing it and Matt gets angry with me because he wakes up because of me. But, like I told him to please keep in mind that I don't like anymore than he does. After a few nights of this, he now just reaches over to me and it's comfort to know he's there.
He's such a great guy! I love him so much!

Never a dull moment
Matt called at work a couple of weeks to tell me about Faith and Lauren. He had walked out of the room and came back after he noticed that they were REALLY quiet (and any mom/dad knows that's usually really bad). Anyway, he found that they had snuggled up together in the recliner and were napping. They had been to Bible school all week and were really tired. I finally got it! I know why my mom wanted to send the 3 of us every year! Now that I know the secret, they'll be going EVERY year. Silly little girls!
We got rain!!!!
Yay! We finally got some rain on 6/28, it was a good storm in fact. I didn't know it and left work and bam! The bottom fell out of the sky. I looked like Chicken Little running across the parking lot at work. The rain made my sandals slippery so after fighting to keep them on, I finally decided to suck it up and walk across the parking lot. I was drenched when I got home but boy was I cooled off!
Joining the Blogging World
Hi Everyone,
With Matt and I not having internet service at home it makes it hard to keep in touch. That's where this blog will come in. I'd like to keep you all updated on Faith, Lauren and Matt (especially with his journey to get approved for SSI benefits).
So, get ready, get set, here we go............................
